Naked 3 review

I have always loved my naked two... unfortunately I found that 2 and 1 were too similar to waste money on, and i preffer the gold tones anyway
I was really excited for Naked 3, as it had all of the pinkish hues i always look for.
I must say I am satisfied enough with it, but would not buy it again.
Pros:
* very subtle natural colors
* very long lasting
* very pretty simmer w/o glitter

Cons:
*All of the colors blend too well together and there isnt much deffinition between shades. Shades are also too close to each other.
* if you have darker skin like i do (not really that dark, but olive) the pinks are almost impossible to look pink unless you use a neon.
* looked way too similar to other palette colors i had.

So buy it or not?? id suggest checking it out, go to the store, play with it before you decide. I ordered online and didnt have a chance. I do really love these colors, just sad that the pigment isnt strong enough, and ends up looking like almost all my other naked products.
Here are some pictures and swatches, I did not take these pictures.

What happened to my video?

So I falsly advertized last week that we would be having this great awesome video blog or vlog or whatever you cool kids call it, then here i am dissapointing you with my lame writing, right? OK I will explain... so long story short and not really that cool, I am currently computerless. I tried making a video on my windows surface tablet, only to find out its pretty hard to do because the camera basically just doesnt work that way. anyway so, that thought is put on hold, at least until i figure out how to do a decent video on my tab, I don't want to give you guys mediocre crap! But, I promise you a  FEW pictorials this week okay? :) so last week when i talked about doing a video log, I also breifly mentioned wanting to talk about summery looks and coconut oil, so lets get to the nitty gritty. First off, HELLO COCONUT OIL. where have you been all my life? I seriously have owned so many bottles or rather tubs of that ish and never ever did i actually use it. This time around, it was bought for cooking... my husband is on a diet, some of the recipes called for it... we never used it though, because well... i stole it and it now belongs on my bathroom counter, and who wants to eat something i dig my big fat hands in daily?  so this all started when i was getting my nails did last week. Ive had my nails done from the same lady for like 15 years... and as we were chatting about my awfully brittle toe nails that never grow at all, she mentioned to me coconut oil. she told me it would help repair my toe nails and make them grow stronger. so I went home and pretty much put them all over my feet. that same day, I had this big plan to lay outside and tan and totally bathe in baby oil (yeah you know i love the 70s) since my pasty ass only tans with some help. During this oiling process, I thought about how coconut oil probably could repair all my dead ends too! so i pretty much lathered my hair up in coconut oil and went out in the sun. I sat in the sun for roughly 2 hours between doing yard work and playing with my daughter, then showered like normal, shampooed twice and air dried. OH MY G! my hair had never ever looked so good. im telling you, i think it was the combination of sitting in the hot hot sun which let my hair absorb more, but unlike all the products ive ever tried, this did NOT make my hair greasy! and seriously, anything makes my hair greasy. so now I have been doing this every few days, and my hair has improved a lot. obviously it doesnt cure split ends, everyone should know by now that the only way to end a split end is to chop it off. BUT it did help with the brittle feeling, the shine and the softness. and soft in my head, means less break offs. I think im gonna try to add an avocado in there this week. I will let you know how that pans out. So since I am tanning outside and getting some good old sun, I have been wearing less make up, especially on my face, and it has been really nice. I will post some summery looks I like. I don't like to wear much when im tan, as I look like a prostitute from the 80s when I do. so I challenge you all to try the coconut oil... and let me know how you like it. Also, since then, i have been using nothing but coconut oil on my body as lotion and I love the glow i get. its kind of pricey, but not really compared to lotions out there!

True or False lashes? Im calling you out!

If you are on instagram, I guarantee you have seen either me or any other make up crazy person either repost or talk about the one and only trueorfalselashes. This company first added me on IG with like 2 or 3 pictures and advertized very cheap very high quality lashes you could order via email through some guy named "mike". this overnight sensation of a website blew up on instagram and now has over 165k followers! sadly, or i guess gladly? I am no longer one of those people, as they BLOCKED me for calling them on their BS. hundreds of people (including myself) placed orders for lashes literally months ago, and recieved nothing short of fake UPS tracking numbers and a non existant order... and when you contact to complain, you get deleted and banned, and no one ever responds. They have numerous giveaways... with large prizes, and as i have found out, are all fake! now how you ask, do they manage to scam 165k people? most people wont take the time to complain on an order they paid 2 dollars for... and being that 80 cents is the cost of their lashes, most people just let it happen. The biggest problem I have, is that they pick and choose who their lashes actually arrive to! anyone with a large ammount of followers, or well known MUAs have their orders shipped and up in time, and likely even for free, which in turn causes really good reviews for them, which just adds to the hopeless followers, who even though see all the complaints, still want to believe they will be one of the exeptions. SUMMARY- (sorry about the long rant) DO NOT BUY into this bs and purchase these lashes. It may seem tempting...but you will just be giving your money to some guy named mike, who has probably already made a small fortune on his IG scam company.

Welcome!

So, first and foremost, Thank you for taking your time to follow me! It is quite interesting for me to start doing this again (yes I used to blog in the past...) but I am excited to give it another chance. This time with a purpose! Just to give you a little history on my journey, My passion for make up began in high school, through one of my great friends (who is now an international MUA) who taught and still teaches me her ways. I persued a career in cosmetics roughly around 2003, when I first got involved in cosmetology and hair school, finding a successfull career in freelancing and working part time at your local Urban decay counter at the Nordstrom. Since that didn't quite work out for me, I went on to free lancing, which in turn ended my career shortly in 2004 when 5 thousand dollars worth of my make up collection (yes all of my make up) was stolen at a Dallas Roberts hair fashion show... My life was pretty much over at that point and I think i might have seriously battled depression from that point on. BUT...here I am today, more determined than ever to make this a reality. While I am going to school to be a plastic surgeon, Someday, my dream is to own a beautiful place where people can rely on to better themselves phisically, weather it be through surgery, or just a make over, and well, being a business owner I find it quite important to know all aspects of your business, SO, I plan on being able to do anything my spa will someday offer. and yes, my favorite will always be make up :). Ive got the beauty school thing, but I really trully hate doing hair, so please don't ask me to do it, I can reffer you to the 100 friends I have who do hair too :). Secondly, It takes YEARS of learning to be a professional at anything. Even with lots of previous professional experience I still find myself quite amateur again, especially in comparison to what I see out there, which I am far from, but will eventually be at. If your purpose behind learning is to become a MUA or just to learn how to do your make up, my biggest advice to you is to always stay humble, never think you are better than anyone around you, and constantly seek for knowledge. There are incredible artists out there you can learn from! I want this blog to help you guys and for you guys to help me, in bettering myself and yourselves in something I am incredibly passionate about... while at times being a little selfish and just talking about me. Lets be honest, people create blogs because they like to hear themselves talk...or type... haha you get the point.  Welcome to by blog! my website should be up and running here soon too. That is where I will have my give aways (which will also be announced here) and where I will post my pro work (or as close to pro as I can get) etc. Once that is up and running, this blog will link to it, which should make a nice transition between the two. If it works out the way I plan, it will be mostly my portfolio and then I will actually pay for a domain...so my address isnt forever long anymore. Hopefully by then I can learn how to be a witty awesome blogger ;)
